Maggie's Birthday cookies

A couple weeks ago, it was my sister's birthday and I had to make her class some cookies so I made her favorite animal, a panda!  Yay

What you need:
cut out cookie dough (old blog post)

black food coloring
water

Icing:
4 tbsp meruinge powder
1 lb powdered sugar
1 scant cup water
1-2 tsp corn syrup

Get a cookie cutter shaped as a bear or you can just make the face shape by rolling a ball and 2 more smaller balls and pushing them together.

sift the powdered sugar and add the syrup.
Put the water and meruigue powder in a seperate bowl and mix it together.
add all the ingredients together.  Keep whipping it until its stiff.

divide it into 3 different bowls and add water to 2 of them.

it should look like this and then add black food coloring to 1 of the bowls with water in them and add the coloring to the bowl you didn't put water in.

put the stiff icing into a tube and outline the shape.

flood the black spots with the liquid icing

Spread the icing out
Add the white and wait until the icing dries to put the face on.
with the rest of the stiff icing, put the face on.

The sad part is that I didn't even get to eat one:(
                                                          Happy 10th Birthday, Maggie!
