Apple Pie

This is my grandad's favorite dessert and I'm going to make it for him next time I see him. It's  very easy and delicious.

What you need:
Pie Dough
7 apples
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup butter

1) Peel the apples and cut them into cubes.  Mix both sugars and spices into the apples.

 2)  Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet and add the apples.  Let them simmer for 15 minutes.  Add 1/3 of the apples in a blender and pulse them.  Add it back in to the other apples.
 3)  Preheat the oven to 350. Roll the pie dough out into a big circle.  Put it on top of a baking stone or big cookie sheet.

4)  Spread the apples into the middle of the dough and let the juices run over the edge.

5)  Fold over the edges of the dough so there's an opening in the middle of the pie.

 6)  Bake for 30 minutes or until the dough is stiff on the outside.  Let it cool before you cut it.

Enjoy
